I thought that this was a well organized, presented program. The speed is perfect, and the humor breaks up the program. I actually think that they are funny. Definitely the most creative approach to teaching i've encountered.

Even if you don't know your mean from your median, The Standard Deviants will introduce you to the world of mathematical prediction and analysis with a laid-back format, memory-enhancing skits and computer graphics. Part 1 covers: Population, stem and leaf displays, samples, elements of a statistical problem, mean, median, mode, the distribution curve, and standard deviation.Sample this! If statistics is just a bunch of boring Greek letters and mind-numbing words to you, pop the Standard Deviants Academic Team's Statistics, Part 1 into your VCR and watch probability come alive. You wouldn't know it's been meticulously designed by educators, students, and writers to make its subject simpler and more interesting than traditional textbooks unless you read the fine print, because its fast-paced action and captivating computer graphics are entertaining enough to watch on their own merits.
