VHS Movie Reviews of The Compleat Al [VHS]

Movie Review: Love it
Summary: 5 Stars

I grew up listening to Weird Al because of my dad. He had this movie when it first came out. It's amazing, funny, and just all around great. I'd highly recommend getting this movie. It's so worth it. The Michael Jackson part would always scare us when we were little. Man this is such a great movie.

Movie Review: the best movie I have seen in my life
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie changed my life it was just so good and very funny and has the almost true story of Weird Al and it has some videos that make it funny and it is so funny HE EVEN GOES TO JAPAN!!! he talks in english but he goes to japan and plays his song Eat it in japanesse and shows his MTV parody ALTV it shows a video with harvy leeds from epic records of State of Shock it is the funnyist part.

Movie Review: Woo wee!
Summary: 5 Stars

This a great video (if you nothing else to do or you finished this months mad mag)then watch this!!!

Movie Review: The Amazing and almost true story of a rock and roll legend
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie was funny, informative, and fun to watch. This mockumentary from 1985 summarizes Weird Al's career up to that date. It also includes Al's first eight videos. Oh, and by the way, while it's summarizing his life, it's also making jokes and making Weird Al's life funny... This is a must for any Weird Al fan.

Movie Review: Lacking in some places, but a MUST for all Al fans!
Summary: 4 Stars

This rockumentary spoof also contains eight of Al's music videos (Which, at the time this movie was made, were the only music videos he had done). This was also made while Al was at one of his many career peaks. Originally a Showtime special, this movie is an almost-true account of Al's life. Even the FBI warning at the beginning is a spoof! There are spots where this one tends to drag...at the time, Al didn't direct himself yet. However, there are some very memorable parts to this video, especially the AlTV section, which shows several of his skits from the MTV specials that had been made at the time. The music videos are also quite good. This is still a must for any Al fan, but not up to par with Weird Al's more recent efforts.
