VHS Movie Reviews of Staring at the Sea: The Images [VHS]

Movie Review: The Best!
Summary: 5 Stars

This video along with the cure's standing on a beach;the singles CD are by far the best compilation sets available. For those that have enjoyed the cure during their more than 20 years of performing, this will be enjoyable. The videos start with their earliest stuff, then progress nicely. A best buy!

Movie Review: its a classic
Summary: 4 Stars

Its not only a history of cure music videos, but of music videos in general. Videos were still experimental in the early 80's & I am surprised the Cure pulled it off so well. Its fun to watch the evolution of the band through videos, and thier silly bits of music and footage inbetween.

Movie Review: stunning
Summary: 5 Stars

robert smith is really at his best in these videos, they were absolutly brilliant! it's too bad we dont get videos like that these days, and dont expect mtv to play them(mtv has lost all coolness)but anyway get this video everyone will be able to enjoy this!

Movie Review: Mixed Up
Summary: 4 Stars

The first half of this video definitely leaves something to be desired. More or less all of the clips up until the ones directed by Tim Pope are rather dull and unimaginative (You can tell that The Cure weren't really all that excited about making videos in the early years). However, the clips from "Japanese Whispers" onward are stunning, and manage to perfectly capture the spirit of the songs.

Movie Review: The greatest cure video compelation
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a video worthy of more than one review. A fantastic display by the greatest band.
