This is one of the most interesting films I have ever seen. I won't kid you that it has scenes that are shocking and horrifying. It is a mind opening saga of a boy who grows up in a Circus. His father is a dominating violent man who terrorizes his son with his violent acts. His mother worships an un-recognized Saint whose story deeply impacts the characters of the film. The characters are wonderful as is the juxtoposition of the circus with real life psychological drama.
