FRANK SINATRA: the tape tells of his rocky marriage to Ava Gardner, his 195O throat hemorrhage that put his singing career on hold, Columbia Records cancellation of his contract, his career going down hill and being forced to work as a night club singer until receiving his Academy Award for From Here To Eternity, which boosted him back into stardom.

DEAN MARTIN: tells the story of Dean and Jerry rising to stardom as Sinatra's career began to go down hill. It shows how Dean really felt playing second fiddle to the more popular Jerry Lewis. Also includes an exclusive interview from Mr. Lewis, himself.

SAMMY DAVIS, JR.: In the tape we learn about how although Sammy was winning over all white audiences in Vegas and Hollywood while performing, he could not mingle w/ the audience, nor stay at the hotels. Sadly, he still suffered racism just like the other blacks in the 195O's as soon as he stepped off stage. Sammy's mom is interviewed for this tape also.

PETER LAWFORD: In the early 5O's after Lawford was one of the top actors, his career slowly begin to fade as "bad boys" (like Sinatra) became the audiences favorite leading men in movies. It also includes how Sinatra's jealousy and dislike for Lawford began (over Ava Gardner, of course). After the Sinatra/Gardner marriage ended, Lawford was seen around w/ Gardner and rumors of rekindling their relationship were flying around. Of course word got back to Sinatra and he called Peter to tell him if Lawford continued to see Ava, he would break his legs. (Frank would not speak to Lawford for the next 6 years) Short clips of the Lawford/Pat Kennedy marriage are included also.

An EXCELLENT VHS for the ultimate Rat Pack fans, although it does not include much on Joey Bishop. It contains some rare still photos and clips of the guys! Another cool thing is clips from the Senate Committee hearing where the mob bosses who were running the casino's at the time were being questioned - there is a short clip of Frank Costello speaking in front of the committee, as well as Bugsy Seigal's girlfriend, Virginia Hall. I recommend this tape HIGHLY....
