VHS Movie Reviews of Pink Floyd In Concert: Delicate Sound Of Thunder [VHS]

Movie Review: Bring Down The Wall Again, Executives Get On With It, Release DSOT on DVD.
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been attending concerts for over 35 years and have seen every possible rock band pass through the bay area starting with Creedence Clearwater Revival back in 1971. To this day the best show has been Pink Floyd DSOT tour. I have the VHS. The wait is long enough. I have read all of the reviews. Please do not let these requests fall on deaf ears. Somebody has to be aware of the thousands of wasted dollars that someone could have been lining their pockets with being spent on bootleg copies courtesy of ebay. Someone please give me an explanation why this is not on DVD yet? Has anybody listened to lyrics on Momentary Lapse Of Reason? Nobody lives forever. Please give us a chance to see this on DVD before many of us old timers pass away.

Movie Review: I Was Mesmerized...
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one awesome video. I first rented it from Blockbuster a few years ago, then bought it a couple of weeks ago. This is so much unlike most concert footage you see nowadays on DVD. Someone took a lot of time to make this a totally classic audio/visual expereience.

Speaking of DVD, I hope this video will eventually be released on disc with Dolby 5.1 surround. PF fans are waiting!

Movie Review: great if it played
Summary: 4 Stars

One of the best concerts ever.........had the great fate to see PF five times live. Just sorry that this disc will only play on my computer and not my dvd player. Hard to believe that it cannot be bought.........who is the marketing boob that hasn't brought this out?

Movie Review: Spinning the Pig.
Summary: 4 Stars

How I wish I could say five stars... The concert I went to in Dallas was unquestionably five stars (getting the overall effect washing over you, I suppose). I'm no director or editor, but not spending much time visually on the jet-fueled percussionist in the fantastic drum cage is just wrong; his playing was integral and entrancing! I waited with bated breath for that transcendent moment when life is utter zen -- The giant floating all-seeing pig spinning to "Run Like Hell". The video shows little of that, so that culmination of audio and visual experience is rather missed. Still, what really spins, in the concert itself, is the music and Pink Floyd's special effects, including the timeless video within the video. They themselves goes all out for you, no holds barred.

Movie Review: Please, please, please - release on DVD!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Since I saw this marvellous concert on VHS, I knew my life would be incomplete without seeing Pink Floyd live. I had that chance in 1994 world tour in Gothenburg, Sweden, and it has remained my best concert experience ever - for 11 years now (down below there follow Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Metallica etc.). But when I saw the Pulse concert video, it bothered me somehow that it is filmed in kind of dry, documentary (and cheap video-) manner. Therefore I do prefer Delicate Sound of Thunder - partly just because of a little more artistic (slow motions etc.) approach that is the same time taking a viewer maybe into more of Pink Floyd metaphysical world...
Anyway - the progressive population of Planet Earth is demanding Delicate Sound of Thunder on DVD and with lot of interesting extras!!!
