VHS Movie Reviews of Once Upon a Potty for HimMovie Review: a pottyful experience Summary: 4 Starsmy son is two and a half years old and have been introduced to this potty video for a few months now. He seems interested with seeing children sitting on the potty and he surely likes this video's potty song. I feel that he might be a little confused by the examples this video shows of what we don't do with the potty (ex. not a bird nest, not a flower pot, not a hat, etc.). Although he asks to watch it, yet not too comfortable with using it himself. I will update this review at the time of new developments.
Movie Review: Wow, short tape, quick results! Summary: 5 StarsThis tape is the perfect length. Don't worry that it seems short, (you'll appreciate that when your child asks to re-watch it 100 times!). I could not get my two year old son to spend any time sitting on the potty until he saw this video. He watched it and immediately ran down the hall and wanted to sit on the potty and sing the potty song! It is very clear in its explaination. Whether your child is advanced for his age or not...this is a great video.

Movie Review: Great intro to the potty Summary: 5 StarsI was given this video and the accompanying book because my son's name is also Joshua. Josh has been watching it since he was 6 months. Despite the negative reviews offered about this book by other visitors, this is an excellent tool for kids to learn by watching other kids "use" the potty. The Potty Song that plays in the background has been good reinforcement to get my now 20 month old Josh to stay on the potty after he's sat down. He "sings" the song and waits for something to happen in the potty. For parents who are adverse to the words used in the video for elimination, there's a specialist at the end of the tape that dicusses using your own words for "wee wee" and "poo poo." I love the tape and the book, and am glad to have them!
Movie Review: Don't Bother If Your Child Has A Brain!! Summary: 1 StarsThis book is not for anyone whose child has a brain. Why in this day and age anyone would teach their child to say "wee-wee" and "pee-pee" let alone encourage your child by reading this book to them is beyond me. I love books, therefore, I donated this to the local library rather than throwing it away - which was what I wanted to do.
