VHS Movie Reviews of Maurice Sendak's Really Rosie [VHS]Movie Review: Fabulous! The songs stay with you all day! Summary: 5 StarsWe just borrowed this from the library and my 3 year old daughter wants to watch it over and over. When she's not watching it, she's singing the songs. How do we get Children's Circle to re-release it? I'd love to get a copy. Seeing her Sendak books animated and sung is really fun for her and makes reading them even more fun!
Movie Review: "Really Rosie" is a true classic! Summary: 5 StarsI remembered "Really Rosie" from when I was a kid. I loved it so much and for years I have been looking for it at video stores, the library, or wherever I could find it -- to no avail. I wanted my daughter to see it, and now she's 11, but I think she and my 2-year-old son would both enjoy it. The songs and the animation are incredible. Everyone should have a copy.
Movie Review: Really Rosie we need you! Summary: 5 StarsMy daughters adore this classic video and would love to own it. Try explaining to a 2 year old why she must return it to the library! My 5 year old understands why we have to let some one else have a turn, but does not understand why I can't just buy it for her. How many television shows or videos get your kids off the couch and moving? I have yet to meet the kid who can resist the temptation to get up and sing and dance along.
Movie Review: Convince Children's Circle to re-issue this video. Summary: 5 StarsEvery video issued by Children's Circle is worth having, and Really Rosie is a classic. It should be remastered because the quality could be better, but even with the sometimes wobbly audio it deserves all five stars.
Movie Review: I was Really Rosie Summary: 5 StarsWhen I was in 3rd grade, I was Really Rosie on stage, and it has had an indelible effect on my confidence and joy! I want my daughter, who will be 4 next week, to know that she's a great big deal - BELIEEEEEVE ME. We sing the songs, she's terrific in every way - I want to share the entire experience with her - One Was Johnny, There Once Was a Boy Named Pierre, Chicken Soup with Rice and on and on . Please, please, please rerelease this beautiful video interpretation of Maurice Sendak's stories and Carole King's incredible melodies.
