Movie Review: Follows the book faithfully

What I liked about this version of "Little Women" is that it followed Louisa May Alcott's book very faithfully. That alone is worth the price of this tape.
However, the actresses wore incredibly bad wigs which was a bit distracting. Also distracting was the fact these British actors did not quite master the American accent. The male actors fared better than the females. The actress playing Beth especially sounded English; the other three playing Jo, Meg, and Amy would slip in and out of their American accents, so the acting is not high caliber but passable.
And there hasn't been an American version that follows the book as faithfully as this version, so I'd recommend this film for that alone.
