This movie came out when I was very small, and I went to see it with my aunt. This is a wonderful and moving story, very magical and sweet, but not appropriate for a very small child--I was so scared that we had to leave. However, when I rediscovered it as an adult I just loved it. Leslie Caron is at her sweetest, most winsome, and most vulnerable--an irresistible combination. The dancing is very beautiful, as one might expect of a Caron picture.
