Movie Review: EVEN *I* will not bother to give away the ending to this movie.

i just read the Editoral Review of this movie...and i could'nt disagree more !!! i think whoever reviewed this movie...was just a big fan of Bruce Springsteen..he said that John Cafferty sounded like he was trying to "sound" like that....could'nt be farther than the truth !! in my opinion, and it's just that...Bruce Springsteen could only hope to have such a rich sound and genuine love for music in general as obviously Mr Cafferty does...to bad we can't hear more from him rather than the way "over hyped" Mr Springsteen. As for the movie itself...cudos to Michael Pare for really making Eddie's character believable...and he's really really easy on the eyes....in this fans opinion....the reviewer is just jealous that he can't be as beautiful as Mr Pare....lolMovie Review: A 1980's Classic

This was, hands-down, my favorite movie of the 1980's - nothing else could compare! The story line was great, and the music was awesome - in fact, I wore out several tapes of this soundtrack because I wouldn't stop playing them - over & over again!
Eddie & The Cruisers is about the disappearance of a rock star in an up & coming band, and a reporter who's trying to uncover a story about the missing tapes from their last recording together.
In the movie, Eddie is determined to change the direction of the music his band is playing, but not all of the members agree with his new style. Although there's dissention in the ranks, they decide to go to the studio to make a recording for their new album, and before they are completely finished, Eddies car is found having crashed over a bridge - his body is never found. Is he dead??? Then, the day after the crash, the master tapes from their last recording go missing. Who would take them? Why?
Years later, a reporter is doing a story on trying to uncover the mystery surrounding the missing tapes. She tracks down and speaks to all of the members of the old band - except Eddie who was never found. Will they have any information that will help solve this mystery? Will Eddie ever be found?
I won't answer any of these questions, because I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't seen this movie yet. Suffice it to say that this is an awesome movie, and is a "must see" for those who grew up in the 80's and/or love "Jersey rock-n-roll". I give it a 2 thumbs up!!!

Can we please come out with a DVD of Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives?? I'm dying over here!!! I beg of you...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come out with the DVD. Everywhere I go now, it's insanely hard to find VHS' anymore. This is one of the greatest movies ever made and absolutely has the best soundtrack I've ever heard! Why isn't the DVD released yet!??! Eddie rocks, he is diesel in every manner of the word. Some people are just jealous of a regular guy from jersey who just won't deal with the hype (and is extremely talented). Eddie is right " guys that rush end up taking shortcuts, AND I DON'T SHORTCUT THE MUSIC !!!!". Thats right eddie it's your band and thank god in the second one Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie lives, you demonstrate your ability to lead a band, not let the drummer rush, not let the keyboard player drag, and show Rick Diesel the true meaning of the word intensity by sharing a poignant vignette of "finding music in the desert". Yeah...eddie lives and in the next one he's gonna do it right!!!
