VHS Movie Reviews of Daria Double Feature [VHS]Movie Review: THIS IS AWESOME!!! Summary: 5 Stars"Daria Double Feature" is in fact "Daria", the first tape released by MTV, and "Daria Disenfranchised", the second tape, together as one in SP mode. As the front of the clamshell case says, "2½ FULL HOURS OF DARIA. A SARCASM JAMBOREE." I haven't seen the actual first 7 TV episodes, so I can't compare this tape to them. All I can compare it to is "Daria" which I read has different cut-to-commercial music than the TV episodes actually used (and if that's true, then this tape does too). There was only one small difference when compared to "Daria": 6 minutes and 10 seconds into the tape when Daria makes her final comment to Mrs. Manson the psychologist (I won't say it and spoil it for you all) the familiar "La la la la la" when Daria smiles is faded out so much you can't hear it unless you're straining to, purposely looking for it. The Daria black and white pilot episode is included on this tape as well like it was in "Daria", and is interesting (to say the least) to see how the show got started. The order the tape goes is: Daria Disenfranchised commercial The Real World: You Never Saw - Hawaii commercial Sony Music Entertainment logo MTV Home Video logo Daria opening "Esteemers" "The Invitation" "College Bored" Daria Pilot Animatic 8/11/95 "Sealed With A Kick" Daria closing credits Daria opening "Cafe Disaffecto" "Malled" "This Year's Model" "The Lab Brat" Daria closing credits This tape is VHS hi-fi stereo and is encoded with the Dolby System. The only complaint I have is that when played in Dolby mode on a surround sound system the music is louder than the speech, but increasing the volume on the center channel corrects this problem, so all in all this is a great tape at a great value! A must-have for every Daria fan.
