Movie Review: Just saw it today.
Summary: 5 Stars
movie as good. I liked it. I am 12 and in 6th grade and I saw this movie today. I thought it was going to be stupid but it turned out pretty interesting with the funny plot between the girl Margaret and one of the boys of the Butercream gang.The movie starts out in a small town where these 3 boys live. One of the boys friends live in Chicago and that friend moves to his town to live with his grandfather. The boy's friend Pete makes friends with the wrong guy and starts doing a lot of dangerous things.
The same boy asks a girl for a favor and says that he owes her one. This girl takes advantage of the offer and makes the boy take her to the dance. At the dance the boy sees the true girl and compliments her on being pretty. While dancing Pete and his friends light some kind of cherry bomb inside.
Soon the gang start making it harder on the boy, making his life miserable. The boy soon realizes that his long time friend wants him to hate him and he does alot of bad stuff just so that the police will arrest him and take him back to Chicago.
The ending was good, very unexpected on how many other viewers expected it to turn out. Overall, the movie is good for kids and adults. A good family movie to watch.

A Good movie for both the parent(s)and their child or children. A small town where a group of boys start the Buttercream Gang. One of the boys leaves to attend school in Chicago. He lives with his aunt. The boy ends up with the wrong people and ends up returning to the small town and lives with his grandfather. All kinds of trouble happens. The boys of The Buttercream Gang learn how to turn the other cheek (how to deal with a situation with non-violence instead of the eye for an eye method or using violence. They find it is not easy. But continue with support from parents and other grown-ups of the town. The boy ends up returning to his gang in Chicago. The Boys Aunt tells the Buttercream Gang where he is staying in Chicago and they continue to write to him. I will leave it here. You will need to watch it to find out how it ends. We need to support children in learning nonviolent ways of dealing with agruements and such. Teach them to help in the community. And to love them.
