Movie Review: Angela: good witch bobbing along to the rescue
Summary: 4 Stars

Forming a plan to fight the invading German troops during the war, Mrs. Price decides to embark on using her witch talents to succumb the army. Unfortunitely for her, she gets interrupted by becoming caretaker and provider for 3 children assigned to her home. As children so often do, they quickly discover her hidden talents, and intentions. And as children so often do, they decide to join her magical efforts. But she requires additional words to complete a working spell, and that leads all four of them to London on a magical riding bed, to seek the professor of her correspondence of witchcraft.
Full of songs, dance, grand special effects, animated underwater sequence, with bubbling score, and a knockout soccer match at animal island. Angela Lansbury is a grand witch matriarch, without being stiff or unbearable, she is really quite charming. Matched by her co-stars, and the children being unknown to me from many, if any Disney films, are able to be real children and not sugary sweet.

This is rather an older movie but my grandchildren ages 2,4 and 6 really like this movie and ask to watch it over and over again!

Movie Review: Classic

What I love most about these classics from my childhood is that having spent numerous years not watching them, you have children of your own and you out them on and its still fresh. You understand the time/place contexts better after some education, you appreciate the actors more, whatever. And yet you didn't need all of that the first time, just like your kids don't while you've got them sitting in front of the tv on a cold and stormy night instead of running through the house screaming and driving you insane when all you are trying to do is get some housework done. I think you get my point on this... Kids like it, and if you don't know the movie already, you'll probably find yourself enjoying it as well!

Movie Review: Disney Classic
Summary: 5 Stars

I vaguely remember seeing this in the theatre when I was a kid. Like a door opening in my mind, the flood of memories come back to me. It reminds me of a time when there was no Harry Potter and we used our imagination to look past the mock up of special effects and what have you. All in all the story is good and entertaining.
