VHS Movie Reviews of Baby Beethoven [VHS]

Movie Review: These DVDs are a MUST HAVE!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My son loves the bright colors, moving objects, toys, animals, and music.

Movie Review: Couldn't live without!
Summary: 5 Stars

This DVD has become a wonderful part of our 6 month olds morning ritual. In fact, I wish I would have got it sooner. When I am still half asleep at 6:30am and she is roaring to go, I put her in the excersaucer and turn on this dvd. It's short enough so that I don't feel I am being neglectful :-) and she is positively mesmerized by all of the shapes, sounds, colors, and movement. We would both miss it severly if we were without the 30 or so minutes of bliss it provides us! I will certainly be looking into the other Baby Einstein discs, as well....
IMO, it's a must have!

Movie Review: One of The Best...SO FAR!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is by far my son's favorite of the collection besides baby santa's music box. He has enjoyed the music since birth and now loves the stimulating colors and puppet shows! He laughs and giggles at the puppets and watches them "walk off" the t.v. and then waits for them to come back. He interacts with the puppets and with us while watching...we have the hand puppets to match at the house that we play with while watching. A great way to show him the difference between fantasy and reality. I also like how the video shows kids how toys work so that when they begin to play with toys they have a better understanding of them. This has helped us tremendously during the "witching hour" right before bed when nothing else would!! We highly recommend this to new parents as the introduction video to the series.

Movie Review: boring
Summary: 2 Stars

I purchased Vol. 1 which is a series of 6 Baby Einstein DVDs (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Neptune, World Animals, Neighborhood Animals)for my baby when she was a newborn. She is now 17 months old, and she has never cared for any of them EXCEPT for the Neighborhood Animals DVD which depicts scenes of familiar animals like cows, horses, cats, dogs, etc. She really loves the part when they sing "Old MacDonald". Baby Beethoven is boring except for towards the end when they show some scenes with real babies which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I think overall the Baby Einstein series is overrated.

Movie Review: Just what mom and dad would do
Summary: 4 Stars

My 2.5 month old son loves this DVD. It's basically a bunch of toys for baby to look at, just like having Mom or Dad use toys in front of baby (and he probably doesn't know the difference at this age). The toys are pretty cool and are not ones that you probably already use with baby at home. My son's favorite part is when they show other babies. My daughter was not as fond of this video when she was his age - I have a feeling whether or not baby likes these shows depend somewhat on baby's personality. She was just not as interested in moving objects, and the music wasn't interesting enough to catch her attention either.
