This is a wonderful movie I saw for the first time nearly thirty years ago.
Unfortunately, the only time I've seen it was on late night tv, complete with commercials.
Too bad it's now unavailable.
Matthau is a good as he's ever been here, in his grouchy guy persona he's used in all manner of projects, before and after. Elaine May is a revelation, though. Her charmingly naive klutziness totally gets to the viewer, and, eventually, to Matthau.
Again, this movie deserves at least a basic DVD release. A "loaded" release would be wonderful!
